Import & Backup
Bulk import data from Excel and protect your business database with backups.
Excel import
Available on these screens:
- Customers
- Suppliers
- Products
- Categories
- Warehouses
- Expenses
- Income
Import steps
- Click Download Template to get the correct Excel format.
- Fill in your data following the column headers.
- Click Import Excel and select your file.
- Review any validation messages and confirm.
Tip: Do not change column headers in the template — the import expects exact column names.
Database backup
Configure in Settings → Database Backup:
- Scheduled backups — runs automatically on app startup when due.
- Backup Now — immediate manual backup.
- Open folder — view saved backup files.
- Default location:
Documents\Samriddhi Business App\Backups
Important: Back up regularly. Your business data is stored locally — you are responsible for keeping safe copies.
App updates
Samriddhi checks for updates on startup and shows a notification when a new version is available.
- Install from the notification or Settings → Check for Updates.
- Updates download from this website and install automatically.
